Job Summary
We are recruiting for a part-time or full time Customer Service Advisor, based in Totnes with occasional working at our Dartmouth site.
Part-time hours will be from 9.30am – 4.30pm. This is a permanent position with a 3 month probation period.
You will work in the office on reception, dealing with existing and new customers both on the phone and in person. The role requires you to show customers the different sized units, maintain customer relationship records, prepare storage contracts for new customers and deal with general administration.
Experience and skills required
You need to have a professional approach and may have experience in selling real estate with an understanding of contracts. Experience and a background in sales or customer service is also helpful, but most important to your success will be your ability to communicate with people and deal effectively with a variety of customers at potentially difficult or stressful periods in their life.
You will need to be able to use standard computer packages such as Microsoft Word and have excellent organisational and communication skills. A full driving licence is required as you may be working at both sites. The ability to work on your own initiative is important as is working in the team. We will provide training in our computer and administration systems and you will receive support from the Store Manager and your colleagues. You need to be able to deal with customers who are storing their goods sometimes at stressful times in their lives and a good ear is helpful!
The salary range is £16,500 – £20,000 p.a. (based on 40 hours a week) or pro rata for a 21 hour week with the starting salary dependent on your experience and skills. Holiday entitlement is 28 days per year (pro rata for part time) including public holidays. Free parking on-site is provided.
