What size storage room do I need?

Our rooms are between 7ft 8” and 8ft high (2.34m and 2,44m), giving you plenty of space to stack, but please consider how stackable your items are and how larger items will go into your room. Don’t worry though, our team can help make sure you get the space you need.
Are my goods protected?
Your goods do need to be protected while they are in storage with us. We provide competitively priced cover through our own specialist service, StoreProtect which, in the event of a claim, will provide you with both the appropriate cover and dedicated support. Please read our StoreProtect Addendum for more details.
You can choose to provide your own insurance however contact the team for the conditions that we will need to check.
How do I move my things in?
Our facilities are purpose-built for easy access. There’s plenty of parking on site, and if you have lots to load or unload, you can back your vehicle right up to the loading bay entrance (especially handy when it’s raining!)
To make moving your items easy, we provide handy loading equipment, such as pallet trucks, platform trolleys and sack trucks. Our Totnes store also has a goods lift for simple transportation between floors.
When is reception open?
Our reception is open between the following times:
Monday to Friday: 9.00am – 5.00pm
Saturday: 9.30am – 4pm (Totnes only)
We also operate a 24 hour phone service for emergencies: 01803 835777
When can I access my room?
We will issue you with your own unique PIN code. This will give you convenient access to your storage room between the following times:
Monday to Saturday: 7am – 8pm
Sunday: 9am – 6pm
Important note: Our exterior gates are on a timer and will close automatically, so please leave yourself plenty of time to exit the site before closing time.
How long can I rent my storage room for?
You can rent our storage rooms from as little as 2 weeks or for as long as you need the space. Contracts operate on a 4 weekly rolling basis, and you can terminate by giving us just 2 weeks written notice (an email is fine). We will even refund you any unused storage.
If you prefer, you can transfer your possessions to a smaller or larger room – just speak to one of our team and we will get it sorted.
What can’t I store?
We can provide secure storage for most household and business items, with a few exceptions.
We are unable to store:
- Hazardous materials (e.g., flammable liquids and explosives)
- Unauthorised or illegal goods (e.g., drugs)
- Firearms and ammunition
- Living things
- Items that could decompose (e.g., unpackaged food items)
- Cars, motorbikes and engines
- Lithium batteries & E Scooters

How can I pay?
We charge 4 weeks in advance and prefer our customers to pay by Direct Debit. We also offer a secure online payment option or will take payment by debit or credit card over the phone.
Can I buy packaging from you?
Yes! From boxes and bubble wrap to tape and mattress covers, we sell everything you might need to protect your belongings. Sustainable packaging options are available where possible. Check out our packing price list
How do I access the facility?
We provide you with full instructions when you book a room. There is also clear signage around the facility. You can also download the customer access sheet.
